We collect information you provide directly, including contact information (phone number required for account creation, optional email, name, profile), user content (events, groups, messages, photos), location when you use location-based features, contacts you import, identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics to improve the app.
We use it to provide and maintain services, authenticate users, send event invitations and notifications, improve the service, and comply with law. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, developer advertising, or sharing with data brokers.
By providing your phone number and consenting to SMS, you may receive event invitations, reminders, and account notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt-out at any time by replying STOP to any message or updating preferences in account settings. For help, reply HELP. Hotelia does not send marketing spam; only users can send you messages through the platform.
Users provide explicit consent to receive SMS messages through two methods: (1) During account registration, users must check a required consent checkbox that includes disclosure of message types, frequency, data rates, and opt-out instructions; (2) Users may opt-in by texting START, JOIN, or YES to our SMS number. We do not sell your personal information. We may share with other users (e.g. in events/groups), with service providers such as Firebase (Google) for auth, database, and storage, and when required by law. Data is processed by Firebase per Google's privacy practices. We do not share with third parties for advertising.
You can access, correct, or delete your information in account settings, opt-out of SMS (reply STOP or update settings), and request a copy of your data. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
We use appropriate security measures; no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Hotelia is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If you use Hotelia from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this policy; we will post changes here and update the last-updated date.
